School trip turns tragic; 3 students drown in Belkota Dam

Kalburagi: A school trip took a tragic turn after three students drowned in Belkota dam in Kalburagi on Tuesday, December 31.
The deceased have been identified as Manjunath (15), Laxman (14) and Sudham (15).
Police said that 96 students and 4 teachers of Satyasai Premniketan Residential school, Bijapur were visiting the district for a school trip. The deceased students had reportedly ventured to take a dip in the water when the tragedy took place.
The police have registered a case and investigating further.
