Bantwal man arrested for Whatsapp threat to kill PM Modi, Amit Shah

Mangaluru: Bantwal police on Monday, January 6 arrested a man for posting a message on Whatsapp threatening to kill Modi and Amit Shah if Muslims were affected by CAA and NRC.

The arrested identified as Anwar, a resident of Peruvai is employed abroad.

Acting on a complaint lodged against Anwar, Bantwal circle inspector T D Nagaraj and SI Vinod arrested him when he came to visit his hometown.

The complainant Yathish alleged that Anwar and another youth Niyaz were circulating inflammatory messages on Whatsapp opposing the CAA and NRC.

A case has also been registered against Niyaz in Vittal police station in this regard.
