Srinivas Poojary thanks DK people for not supporting bandh

Mangaluru: District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Wednesday thanked the people of Dakshin Kannada for not supporting the nation-wide bandh called by trade unions in protest against anti-labour policies.

Reacting on Congress leader Ivan D’Souza’s go back Amit Shan comment he said, “Instead of making such comment against Union Home Miniter Amit Shah visit to the district, Ivan should come and welcome him.”

MLC Ivan D’Souza had demanded that permission must not be given for Home Minister Amit Shah’s Mangaluru visit to participate in the Samarthana Samavesha supporting Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) on January 19.

“Amit Shah visit to Mangaluru will benefit the people of the district,” Poojary added.
