Bengaluru: Former minister and senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar, who is seen as a frontrunner for the post of KPCC President on Thursday said that he has never lobbied for the post.

Addressing presspersons here Shivakumar said, “I’m not a competitor for any post, I won’t ask for any post, that time is over. I’m a karyakarta of the party and will work as karyakarta.”

Responding to the reports that Shivakumar has already held discussions with high command in this regard, the Congress leader said, “I did not meet any leaders in Delhi, I don’t have any idea about who will be the next KPCC President, I am busy with my personal work.”

Shivakumar further added, “I haven’t asked for any post, but if given I will manage it efficiently and will hard towards the betterment of the party.”
