Alleging abuse, garment workers protest in Mysuru

Mysuru: More than thousand garment workers hit the streets on Thursday to protest against the authorities of Sai Garments for allegedly abusing them for participating in a strike called by various trade unions.

During the protest, the workers demanded an apology from the officials.

Speaking in this regard Employees leader said that the authorities of Sai Garment abused the employees for participating in the strike. “We won’t call off the protest unless officials tender apology,” she said.

She further alleged that many garment factories in the district including Sai Garments, are discriminating against women employees.
