Kalaburgi: A day after former chief minister and Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah stated that the union government has gone bankrupt, Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol questioned if Siddaramaiah was working as treasurer of the union government.

Addressing media persons here on Friday, Karjol said that union government has released flood relief as per the NDRF guidelines. “Siddaramaiah has presented state budget 14 times. He has five years of experience as a full-time chief minister. “Let the comparative figures of how much relief funds have been released by the previous governments since independence be made public. I will then accept him as leader,” said Karjol.

On the issue of cabinet expansion, Karjol said the BJP high command will take an appropriate decision in this matter.
