Ballari: MLA G Somashekar Reddy’s anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Second Additional District and Sessions Court in the hate speech case.
Reddy had filed for anticipatory bail after being booked for delivering a hate speech.
Public Prosecutor Sunkanna had opposed the bail on the grounds that the MLA is facing grave charges of disturbing communal harmony.
While speaking at a pro-CAA event here, Reddy had said that Hindus are 80 per cent of the population, hence minorities should tread carefully before taking any move harming the majority.
