Jiiva to play the role of Kris Shrikkanth in ’83

Mumbai: Bollywood star Ranvir Singh took social media  to share a photo of Kollywood actor Jiiva portraying the role of former Indian batsman Krishnamachari Srikkanth in his upcoming movie ’83 on Sunday, December 12

Ranvir added a photo of Jiiva playing an iconic shot of Srikkanth and wrote, “IT’S CHIKA, MACHA !!! The Swashbuckling South Indian Strokeplay Sensation!”

Twitteratis applauded the casting of the film as the appearance Jiiva seemed similar to former Indian batsman.

Gully Boy star also announced actor Tahir Raj Bhasin will play the role of Little Master Sunil Gavaskar on January 11.

Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83 is scheduled to release on April 10.
