2 killed in separate accidents

Mangaluru: A 18-year old student and a 24-year-old doctor were killed in two separate accidents that were reported in Nanthoor and Moodbidri on January 12.

In the first incident, 24-year old Doctor of Alva’s Ayurveda College died after his bike was hit by a bus. The deceased has been identified as Dr. Krishnananda (24).

The accident took place when Krishnananda was on his way to Karkala from Moodbidri.

In the second incident, an 18-year old college student died after his bike skidded here. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Omar (18), a first-year engineering student of St. Joseph Engineering College in the city.

As per sources, though Omar was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, he breathed his last as he was not responding to the treatment.
