Clear confusion over NRC: UTK to dist admin

Mangaluru: Expressing concern over the prevailing fear among masses over implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC), MLA UT Khader on Monday, January 13 urged the district administration to clear the confusions.
Speaking to media persons here Khader said that people are hesitant to open their doors to Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, BLOs out of fear that the NRC exercise is being implemented.
He even slammed the contradictory statements, issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over NRC implementation which has added to their confusion.
Khader informed that so far NRC has not been implemented in the state, hence district administration should clear the confusion that no official has been appointed for the registration of NRC.”
Further, he said that the government has so far not provided flood relief to victims of the recent natural calamities. Funds have not been sanctioned for those who are beneficiaries of the housing scheme,” he added.
