Bengaluru: Adagur H Vishwanath, the rebel MLA who lost from Hunsur on Monday, January 13 said that Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is a man who acts on his words and is sure of getting a berth in his cabinet.

While speaking with the media persons after meeting the CM, Vishwanath said, “If there is a leader who does what he says, it is BS Yediyurappa. He is a man who acts on his words. I have no doubt or fear or anxiety because I trust him to keep his word.”

“Yediyurappa said he would make all of us 17 MLAs ministers, regardless of what happens, and I trust him. Because if it wasn’t for our sacrifice, how could the BJP have formed the government?” he questioned.

“Yediyurappa told me not to contest. But I did, and after the result, he reminded me of his words,” Vishwanath said.

Cabinet expansion will not be an easy task for the Chief Minister as he will have to strike a balance by accommodating the victorious disqualified legislators as promised and also make place for old guards, upset at being “neglected” in the first round of the induction exercise.

He also has to give adequate representation to various castes and regions in his cabinet and also deal with allocation of key portfolios.
