Hubballi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched pulse polio vaccination drive in Hubballi by administering polio drops to children.
As part of the Government’s drive to eradicate the disease, he administered the polio drops to children below the age of five years.
It may be recalled that the Health Minister had announced that the National Immunisation Pulse Polio Programme will be conducted nationwide on January 19, 2020.
Though India is free from polio the drops are given to the children as the disease persists in neighbouring countries.
