Parameshwara opposes 4 KPCC Working Presidents and single LOP-CLP leader plans

Bengaluru: Former KPCC president and deputy chief minister G Parameshwara has rejected the ideas of having four KPCC Working Presidents and a single person holding both leader of Opposition and Congress legislature party (CLP) leader post.
Siddaramaiah had submitted his resignation from the posts after the losses in the bye polls. Congress national leadership is yet to decide on his resignation.
The four working presidents plan supposedly giving distributed representation to various castes and regions was mooted by Siddaramaiah and later he expressed to keep one person as the leader of Opposition and CLP leader. However, some Congress factions are said to be in opposition to both these ideas.
Former ministers D K Shivakumar and M B Patil are now the only contenders for KPCC presidentship with Siddaramaiah said to be backing Patil.
