MIA explosives case: Aditya Rao taken to crime spot

Mangaluru: A day after a JMFC court here remanded Aditya Rao, accused of planting live explosives at Mangaluru airport to 10-day police custody, a team of police personnel on Friday took him to the spot for a reconstruction of the crime.

The police team led by sub-inspector Belliyappa went with the accused to the spot and gathered all details in connection with the case. Aditya was asked to identify the place from where he arrived and departed from the airport and where he had placed the bag containing the explosive.

During the interrogations, Rao is said to have revealed that he procured chemical and gelatine detonator online from a Chennai-based company. In this backdrop, the police team is likely to take him to Chennai for an inquest.
