Mangaluru: Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Shiradi, Puttur taluk and Sri Somanatheshwara Temple at Kotatthadi, Belthangady taluk will be adopted for a period of five years by the Sri Subrahmanya Temple, Kukke, said Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Up to fifty lakh rupees may be spent by the Kukke temple administration on the development of these two temples, the minister added.
The temples were selected based on the requests from the temples to the district administration which sent a finalised list to the government.
Poojary further said that there are plans to start e-administration of all the temples under the Muzrai department. This will help in protecting temple assets and properties and manage their documents and daily affairs transparently.
