Beltangady: Dentist arrested for sexually assaulting female patient

Beltangady: A dentist was arrested by the local police for sexually assaulting a woman who had visited the government hospital for her dental treatment.

The arrested is Dr Sudhakar, a dentist at a government hospital in Belthangady.

Reportedly, the woman had visited the government hospital on Wednesday, January 29, for getting treatment for her dental problems. Dr Sudhakar, who was on duty at that time examined the lady in room No. 36 of the hospital and indulged in sexual harassment even as he continued to treat her dental condition.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, the police registered a case under section 354 and 354 A (1)(1) of the Indian Penal Code and produced the accused in the court here.
