B’luru top cop says there are lakhs of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in state

Bengaluru: Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao said that the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, who expelled from the state recently informed that there were lakhs of such persons in Karnakata.
In a candid conversation with the presspersons, Bhaskar informed that the 61 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were deported from Bengaluru told the police that they are in lakhs in Karnataka on only 61 of them were being expelled.
“They are working in construction sites, garbage collection,” Bhaskar added.
When questioned about further action against Bangladeshi immigrants he said, “I don’t have any such thing before me. We should have a mechanism to deal with it. What has happened over the years you can’t undo it on a single day because it will lead to unnecessary chaos. These things are guided by policy and planning.”
It may be recalled that the Bengaluru police had arrested 61 illegal immigrants from various parts of the city, last year. The arrested immigrants were later deported to their native country.
