Mangaluru: Former minister and MLA UT Khader on Sunday, February 2 retorted to WhatsApp trolls by saying that the 390 houses at Ombathukere were built in 2002. The injunction on it was because local residents approached the courts.
A troll had been making rounds by the title ‘Ullal Balle’ (Come to Ullal) related to Ashraya Mane scheme at Ombathukere.
Reacting to the troll, Khader accused that the trolls are being spread by BJP trollmakers and added that they must go and see the houses to know the truth about it.
“By trolling the issue of Ombathukere houses, will the house be constructed? Instead, the BJP leaders from the area can mount pressure on the housing minister to get the project on constructing apartments sanctioned,” Khader said.
Taking to social media, BJP started trolling MLA U T Khader in whose constituency the project was implemented in the year 1999 by then MLA U T Fareed. Over 300 houses, built in the 10-acre land purchased for the Ashraya scheme remains unoccupied since 2002.
The locals who were apprehensive that the housing project will pollute the Ombathukere lake had approached the court. Thus the court had passed a stay order and had issued directions to complete the UGD works to prevent pollution of the lake. The UGD work has been taken up.
