Kundapura: Though it’s been more than a month since Harish Bangera, 32, a resident of Goyadibettu near Beejady village, Kundapura taluk was arrested in Saudi Arabia for an alleged derogatory post on Facebook, Saudi authorities have not yet responded to any contact efforts by the Indian authorities.
Harish was working as an air conditioning technician in Dammam.
Sumana, Harish’s wife, had told the Cyber, Economic and Narcotics police at Udupi that the post in question was on a fake Facebook page created in her husband’s name. The Udupi police had said they did not get a response from the US-based company for which Harish worked.
Sumana has been told that the Saudis might take three more months to complete their investigation of the case.
