Bengaluru: Within few hours of being inducted into the Karnataka cabinet, Ramesh Jarakiholi has demanded Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to allocate the office and official house which was occupied by Former minister DK Shivakumar.
Reportedly, Ramesh after the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday Ramesh directly went to BS Yediyurappa’s office and requested him to allocate the room number 336 of Vidhana Soudha, which was occupied by DK Shivakumarwhen JDS-Congress coalition government was in power. Moreover, he has also demanded irrigation department portfolio, which too was held by the Congress strongman.
His demands are seen as a befitting reply to Shivakumar, who was instrumental in stitching a pact with the JD(S).
By gaining, the office, official house and the portfolio held by DK Shivakumar, Ramesh can emphasise that the wheel of fortune has turned in his favour.
It may be recalled Laxmi Hebbalkar from Belagavi rural had sought help from DK Shivakumar to defeat Jarkiholi’s candidates in the PLD Bank elections. Jarkiholi had expressed his anger at Shivkumar’s interference in Belagavi politics.
