Mysuru: Former Minister H Vishwanath has said that the cabinet now is more or less perfect.

“Now is the time for all to work for the holistic development of the state,” Vishwanath said.

During the cabinet expansion, some leaders were not present to which Vishwanath commented, “Husband and wife cannot always stay together.”

Talking about his ministerial post, he said, “I will not say that I am experienced so I must be a minister. I can use my experience even without being a minister. If they ask what experience I possess they I can tell.” He further said in a democratic system people with experience in the government should be used for its work.

Reacting to former chief minister Siddaramaiah’s statement that disqualified legislators are still ineligible Vishwanath stated, “All had won the elections in accordance with the constitution. They became ministers only after proving their mandate that they received from the people. The leader of the opposition’s job is not to keep criticising everything especially when the criticism is a slander on the constitution. What does it mean that everyone who won has paid for it? Do they too win after paying for it?”
