Bengaluru: In a circular, the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (DPAR) has made it mandatory for employees of the Vidhana Soudha to obtain permission from their seniors before moving out from their seats during work hours.
The circular is supposedly a result of the complaints received by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Chief Secretary Vijay Bhaskar from the public that many officials are unavailable during office hours.
All employees of the departments in the Vidhan Soudha, Vikas Soudha and the MS Building will now have to register in the Movement Register. The employees have also been asked to enter the reasons for stepping out during office hours in the register.
V Manjula, Additional Chief Secretary, DAPR stated that the circular is issued to prevent the wrong impression of the employees and officials not being present at their seat during work hours, including those who have gone to another office for a work-related visit.
