CCB police arrest three; seize MDMA drugs, BMW car

Mangaluru: Acting on credible information, City crime branch (CCB) sleuths in a joint operation with personnel of the economic and narcotic wing on Saturday intercepted a car on Mangaluru-Udupi highway and arrested three persons on charges of drug peddling.
Mohammed Shareef Siddique (40), a resident of Chokkabettu, Suratkal, Mohammed Shafi (33), a resident of Katipalla, and Mohammed Anas (27) of Kaikamba were arrested and MDMA drugs valuing Rs 87,560 found in their possession was confiscated. The police also seized three mobile phones and the BMW car that was being used for transporting the banned narcotics. The total value of the items seized is estimated at Rs 51,12,560.
The accused had procured the drugs from Mumbai and intended to sell it to public in the city, said police.
