Kambala: Nishant Shetty covers 143 meters in 13.61 sec, breaks Gowda’s record

Mangaluru: Kambala Jockey Srinivas Gowda, 28, had become an overnight sensation after he covered 143 meters in 13.62 sec, now surprisingly another Kambala Jockey Nishant Shetty is in the news after he broke Srinivas Gowda’s record.

Nishant Shetty hailing from Karkala taluk of Udupi district in the recent season took just 13.61 seconds to cover the distance of 143 meters at the Kambala at Venoor.

Srinivasa Gowda, Kambala jockey from Moodabidri had created a record as the fastest runner in the history of Kambala by covering the distance of 143 meters in 13.62. However, Nishant Shetty has now created a new record.
