Mangaluru: The general public has been given another chance to submit video evidence of the violence that occurred in Mangaluru on December 19, 2019.

On the previous date of February 13, many people could not submit evidence owing to the Karnataka bandh called on the same day by organisations protesting the non-implementation of the Sarojini Mahishi report.

Hence, the deputy commissioner of Udupi district has notified the new date.

People can submit the evidence with them on February 19 between 11 am and 1 pm at the court hall of the assistant commissioner of Mangaluru.

Violence had erupted in Mangaluru on December 19 after protestors protesting the Citizenship Amendment Act went on a rampage in the city leading the police to fire and the death of two. A magisterial enquiry to be presided by Udupi district’s deputy commissioner was later ordered by the government.
