Bantwal: An FIR has been registered against a man for allegedly posting “offensive” remarks against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat on a social media.
In his complaint, lodged at Bantwal town police station on February 20, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal Kalladka zone president Pushparaj accused Abdul Saleem, a resident of Ulaibettu Manjagudde of sharing a doctored image of Dr Prabhakar Bhat on WhatsApp group with nearly 250 members.
The complaint further states that Saleem has used derogatory words against RSS and Hindu leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah.
Pushparaj has urged the police to initiate action against Saleem for attempting to create disharmony in the society.
