Bengaluru: The 9th Magistrate court in the city has issued a nonbailable warrant against sandalwood actor Rakshit Shetty and Music Director Ajaneesh Loknath.
In 2016, ‘Kirik Party’, producer by Rakshit Shetty owned Paramvah Studios created controversy for allegedly using tune and lyrics from 1991 movie ‘Shanti Kranti’ in its ‘Who are you’ song.
Lahari Audio company which officially had its copyrights had sued Rakshith Shetty’s production house Paramvah Studios for not taking the rights to use the song.
It is reported that Paramvah Studios is the first offender in the case while Rakshit Shetty and Ajaneesh Loknath are second and third offenders respectively.
As per reports, Rakshit Shetty and Ajaneesh did not appear before the court for multiple hearings in the past.
The Court had issued a summons on this case on February 20. However, both Ajaneesh and Shetty have not responded to this. Hence, the Court has now issued a non-bailable warrant against them.
According to the legal procedure, if they do not appear before the court, the police may take necessary action to produce them before the court.
