Rakesh Malli alleges threat to life from Muthappa Rai, files complaint

Mangaluru: Entrepreneur Rakesh Malli has lodged a complaint against Jaya Karnataka organization founder Muthappa Rai that he has received a threat on his life by Muthappa Rai and his children.
Rakesh Malli has submitted a complaint to the superintendent of police of Dakshina Kannada. In his complaint, Malli said, “Many years ago, 17.5 acres of land was bought in Bantwal, in the name of me and Muthappa Rai in a partnership deal. The said land was sold to Karunakara Rai, brother of Muthappa Rai later. Though the land is sold, I have not got my share of the money. Now, when I am asking for the same, I am threatened with murder.”
“In addition, Muthappa Rai, his children and brother have given a contract for Rs 20 lac to a person of Uttar Pradesh origin to kill me. As there is a threat to me,” Malli said.
He further requested the police to provide suitable security to him and his family and also do justice by conducting an investigation in this matter.
