Mangaluru-Hubballi flights from March 29: Jagadish Shettar

Mangaluru: Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries Jagadish Shettar announced on Saturday, February 29 that flight services between Mangaluru and Hubballi will commence from March 29.
The services are initiated as part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s UDAN regional connectivity scheme he said.
Commending the scheme he added that regional airports such as Hubballi, Belagavi, Kalaburagi and Bidar have come on the air travel map thanks to the scheme and the vision of Modi’s government.
He further stated that improved air connectivity will aid in the industrial development of Hubbali and the Bombay-Karnataka region, already IT Bellwether Infosys has planned to set up a Rs 350 crore campus at Hubbali.
He also thanked Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and MP from Dharwad Prahalad Joshi as well as MP from Dakshina Kannada Nalin Kumar Kateel, as this was their persistent demand.
