Kerala’s first Tejas Express to run on Mangaluru-Coimbatore soon

Mangaluru: The first Tejas Express in the state will be starting service soon. The train will ply between Mangaluru and Coimbatore.

Tejas Express is a high-speed rail service between Indian cities. The train service is the government’s maiden attempt in the privatization of Indian Railways.

The service will run six days a week except on Monday, details on the website quoted. The ticket fares of the service are not yet confirmed. The service between Delhi and Lucknow charges Rs 2400.

The Tejas will depart from Mangaluru at 6 am and arrive at Coimbatore at 12:10 pm. From Coimbatore, it will depart from 2:30 pm and reach Mangaluru at 8:40 pm.
