Pro-Pakistan slogans: Court orders medical treatment for Kundapur man

Kundapura : The local court here has ordered that the man, who shouted pro-Pakistan slogans at the Mini Vidhan Soudha here on Monday, March 2 be provided with medical treatment at the district hospital.
A video of the accused Raghavendra Ganiga rasing pro-Pakistan slogan had gone viral on social media.
Ganiga’s counsel, Advocate G Santhosh Kumar Shetty argued that the accused was suffering from mental sickness and urged the court to consider the same while pronouncing the verdict.
The court in its verdict given on Wednesday, March 4 ordered that medical treatment be given to Ganiga.
The order further states that the hospital’s medical officer should provide the required treatment till March 13 and submit a report to the court.
The accused was earlier sent to judicial custody till March 16 but now will be admitted to the district hospital.
