Staff clean 86,000 KSRTC Buses amid coronavirus alert

Belthangady: As the coronavirus infection has been identified in Telangana, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) officials have directed the staff to wear safety masks and also informed to clean 86,000 buses from 84 depots that are divided among 17 sections effective Wednesday, March 4.

The Officials have informed the staff to clean the buses using Dettol spray and other hygienic spray products.

Different divisions across the states including Bengaluru BMTC, Mangaluru, Chitradurga, Chamarajanagar, Hassan have carried this operation.

As per reports, nearly 35.7Lakhs citizens are traveling in the KSTRC buses and the chemicals have been sprayed to doors, handles, and seats. The y have also directed the staff to inform the passengers to wear a safety mask at the time of coughing or sneezing.

Awareness to Staff

All the drivers, conductors, senior officers and resource personnel of all the depots in the state have been directed to take necessary precautions and information to on Coronavirus.

In order to safeguard the health of passengers, safety measures have been taken in all the 17 divisions. Apart from everyday cleaning, Dettol has been sprayed in the interior of the bus including seats.
