BSY flags off Bengaluru-Vasco train

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday flagged off a train between Vasco in Goa to Bengaluru at Yeshwantpur railway station.
The 14-compartment train will leave Yeshwantpur at 6 pm every day and reaches Padil at 3.30 am, Udupi at 4.30 am and Kundapur at 4.54 am. It is scheduled to reach Karwar at 8.25 am and Vasco at 10.30 am.
On its return journey, it leaves Vasco at 3.20 pm, reach Karwar at 6 pm, Kundapur at 8.30 pm, Udupi at 9.02 pm and reach Yeshwantpur at 8 am the next day. It will have stops at Yeshwantpur, Chikkabanavara, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Subrahmanya Road, Kaniyur, Kabaka – Puttur, Bantwal, Suratkal, Mulky, Udupi, Kundapur, Byndoor and Bhatkal.
However, the night train between Bengaluru and Karwar which was being operated three days a week via Mysuru and three days via Shravanabelagola, (16513, 16514) stands withdrawn, a release from the railways stated.
Minister of state for railways Suresh Angadi, Shobha Karandlaje were also present.
