PU student commits suicide over ‘tough’ Physics paper

Bantwal: In a tragic incident, a second PU student committed suicide by jumping into a well at Vogga within Bantwal rural police station limits here on Friday, March 6.

The deceased identified as Nandan was allegedly upset over his performance in the exam.

As the PU exams are in progress, Nandan was studying till around midnight on March 6. When his mother checked on him at around 12.30 am, he was not to be seen in the room. Family members started searching for him and found his body in the well.

A death note left behind by him mentions that he did not perform well in the Physics exam as the question paper was tough. The PU Board exams commenced on March 4.

It is gathered that Nandan was a brilliant student and had secured 94 per cent marks in the SSLC exams.

A case has been registered with Bantwal (rural) police station.
