Udupi: In a tragic accident, a pedestrian was killed on the spot while another person breathed his last en route to the hospital here on Wednesday, March 11 night.
Vasanth Nayak (28) and Madhav Shettigar (68) are the deceased persons.
According to reports, Madhav was killed on the spot after the auto driven by Vasanth rammed into him at Shedigudde near Athrady here. Later, the auto collided into an oncoming car here and Vasanth sustained injuries in that. He died on the way to the hospital.
A case has been registered at Hiriyadka police.
