Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel blamed Congress for inciting violence and disturbing the peace of the Nation.

Speaking at the parliament session at New Delhi, he said that people who raised anti-national slogans were backed by the Congress and that the speeches of leaders of Congress party has provoked the Anti Citizenship Amendment Act protesters.

Kateel mentioned that the country would not have witnessed such disturbances if the Congress party would limit its role to freedom struggle and would have been disbanded as per Mahatma Gandhi’s wishes.

He went on to say that it was Mahatma Gandhi’s dream to extend protection to minorities coming to India but instead of following his wishes and words, Congress has used his name for votes.

Kateel further claimed that large number of riots and protests took place during the Congress rule and said that the disturbances in New Delhi was a well-planned conspiracy of the Congress party to defame BJP.

He said that the protestors of Delhi were armed with guns and the lethal weapons and questioned as to where they came from.

Nalin Kumar Kateel also mentioned the recent violence that happened in Mangaluru over CAA, he said, the Congress had held a meeting the previous day and former District-in-charge minister UT Khader had said that if CAA comes into force then the entire city will burn. Just after two days protest was held, and the goons pelted stones and destroyed public property.

Protestors tried to set police station on fire and pelted stones at the police officers which terrorised the whole city, he added
