Bengaluru: Despite a ban on large gathering, hundreds of Congress workers on Monday gathered outside the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office in Bengaluru to felicitate newly appointed president DK Shivakumar.
Strict guidelines against public gatherings were put in place by the Karnataka government to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. The steps taken by the state government to curb mass gathering include shutting down malls, theatres, education institutes and commercial establishments for a week.
However, Congress workers showed scant regard to the government’s order and gathered outside the KPCC office to felicitate newly appointed president DK Shivakumar.
