COVID-19 shutdown: Govt services to be unavailable in dist

Mangaluru: In view of the shut down across the state till March 31, many government services in the district have been suspended by deputy commissioner (DC) Sindhu B Rupesh.
This move has been undertaken as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19 as many people congregate in government offices to avail services.
Following services/offices will remain shut till March 31:
Atalji Janasnehi Kendra (Revenue department)
Spandana Kendra
Aadhar Kendra
RTO (except driving license renewal)
Sub Registrar’s office
Urban local bodies and gram panchayats
Cooperative societies (except banks)
Agriculture/Horticulture/Fisheries departments (excluding emergencies)
Social Welfare/Minority Welfare/Backward Classes Welfare Departments
Youth Empowerment and Sports department Kannada Culture department
Following services/offices will be operational:
Banks
Post Office
Police Services
Fire Services
Telephone & Internet services
KSRTC and transport services
Food & Civil Supplies department
Sanitation services
Electricity distribution services
General and veterinary hospitals
Drug stores
Crematories
Groceries
Other emergency services
