DC restricts vehicle movement from Mangaluru to Kerala through Kasaragod

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sindhu B Rupesh on Friday, March 20 has directed to implement travel restrictions between Kerala and Mangaluru in the wake of an increase in positive cases of COVID-19.
The order will be in place from March 21 at 2 pm till midnight on March 31 and in case of emergency travel, the public can opt to travel through the Talapady check post.
The Talapady check post can be used only under utmost emergencies and that all the other borders will be sealed, she added.
Sindhu’s order came after six positive cases of coronavirus were reported from Kasaragod.
