‘Two people from Bhatkal tested positive for Covid-19’

Karwar: Two people from Bhatkal who recently returned from Dubai have been tested positive for Covid-19 informed Uttara Kannada District Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar.

Addressing media on Tuesday Harish informed, “A 40-year-old and 65-year-old person had returned fro Dubai on March 21 and they both have been tested positive for Covid-19.”

“While the 40-year-old man came directly to Bhatakl from Mangaluru airport in a private vehicle, the 65-yer-old man had traveled in a train,” Harish informed.

He further added that the district administration is trying to gather information about the people they came in contact with.

So far 37 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in the state, informed sources.
