K’taka lockdown: 3 killed in road mishap while returning to hometown

Bagalkot: Amid coronavirus scare, three people who were on the way to their hometown were killed and the other three were injured in a road accident near Ilakal on Tuesday, March 24.

The deceased have been identified as Suvarna (40), Basavannappa (70) and Savita (20). The injured are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

As per sources, the accident took place while the six people were traveling from Bengaluru to their hometown Bidar after the state government announced a complete lockdown.

A case in this regard has been registered with the Ilakal rural police.
