Mangaluru: City Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha clarified that essential services and grocery shops will be open from 6 am to 12 noon in Mangaluru.

Harsha’s clarification came after confusion arose in the general public regarding the availability of essential services like groceries, milk, medicine, etc after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown.

Taking to Twitter Harsha wrote, “There seems to be some confusion regarding essential services and grocery shops and other such daily requirements.. all such shops will remain open .. NO Need to panic..essential supplies and services will be unaffected..right now in DK district from 6 am till 12noon.”
