Bengaluru police shares photo of providing food to needy, netizens say “hats off”

Bengaluru: Following the coronavirus lockdown in the state, citizens are advised to stay at homes to prevent the disease from spreading. In an act to help people who are in need of food, the city police is providing food to the people in streets.

They took to twitter on Tuesday, March 24 to share the photos of the police providing food to people in street.

“Crackdown on criminals, or be compassionate? We can do both. While the city is on a lockdown owing to recent events, we are doing our bit,” the City police added in the tweet.

The tweet has garnered over 5k views and received over 1.6 k comments. here are some of the responses.

The police in other states are helping people in need as well. A video of Punjab police sharing food bags to poor people surfaced online.

In the video, we can see a team of police delivering food bags to the door steps of people and asking them to share among themselves.
