DK receives second consignment from Infosys foundation worth 73 lakhs

Mangaluru: The City police Commissioner Dr. Harsha PS on Sunday, March 29 informed that the Infosys foundation chaired by Ms. Sudha Murthy has sent the 2nd consignment of N95 masks, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and sanitizers worth Rs. 73 lakhs.
“These will be used primarily used by doctors, nurses, and paramedics of Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru, and masks by the frontline staff of ASHA and police at risk of exposure to the virus,” tweeted Harsha.

The district had received the first consignment with critical medical equipments worth Rs. 28 lakhs from the Infosys foundation on Saturday, March 28.
Dr. Harsha also informed that the police department ensured the supplies of PPE that includes mask, sanitizer and gloves to every police deployed on the field to ensure their safety.
