Internet founder Vinton Gary Cerf tests positive for Covid-19

New York: Internet founder and veteran developer Vinton Gary Cerf informed that he tested positive for Covid-19 infection on Monday, March 30.

The 77-year-old internet pioneer took to twitter and wrote, “I tested positive for COVID-19 and am recovering.”

He added a YouTube link of an episode from Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and asked netizen to listen what John Oliver has to say about national response so far.

In response to the tweet, netizens urged Cerf to recover from the disease fast.

Cerf is recognised as one of “the fathers of the internet,” sharing the tile with TCP/IP co-developer Bob Kahn. For the contribution to the field of technology and telecommunication he received many degrees and honors around the globe.
