People nowadays are glued to their smartphones. Well, smartphones do have amazing advantages such as speed and connectivity, but one cannot deny that it also has a major source of stress and distraction.

A recent study shows about 80 percent of smartphone users check their phones within 15 minutes of waking up each morning.

Here are 4 reasons why you should not check your phone within an hour of waking up

Stress and Anxiety

It is always better to start your day calmly without any tension and stress. But, nowadays, when we wake up, we check our phones which is filled with emails, messages and to do list which creates a feeling of anxiety and stress.

Mind is Hijacked

If you wake up and check social media and emails your mind is hijacked and is flooded with unnecessary information.

Lack of focus

When you wake up distracted by social media, your productivity decreases and will feel lethargic

Bad for vision

The blue light that your smartphone emits is not only bad for your vision but also effects your daily cycle. A recent study shows that exposure to blue light can result in suppressed levels of melatonin.
