Bengaluru: State chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday, April 4 requested all employers of servants, maids and drivers to not reduce their salaries.
Yediyurappa added that as these personal and domestic workers had to stay home to maintain social distancing and obey the national lockdown in view of preventing the spread of COVID-29 they shouldn’t be made to financially suffer for it.
Such a humanitarian gesture is the need of the time to overcome this difficult period the country is going through, he added.
