Mangaluru: On ‘9 baje, 9 minute’ occasion Uppinangady hill set on fire

Puttur: A miscreant set fire to a hill in Uppinangady taluk of the Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday, April 5 on the occasion of the lamp lighting event in accordance with prime minister’s call.
It’s been reported that the miscreant arrived on a motorbike, lighted the fire and ran away. Local residents seeing the raging fire extinguished it soon.
Authorities have been notified by the residents about the incident and also urged them to apprehend the culprit soon.
