Illicit liquor brewery raided, two arrested

Bantwal: Two people were arrested by the Bantwal police after they raided an illegal liquor brewery at Jakribettu.

The arrested have been identified as Albert Pinto and Roshan Fernandes, residents of Agrar Kodi.

Police crime detection squad led by Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj and town police station SI Prasanna raided an illegal liquor brewery at Jakribettu after receiving definite clues. The police also seized items used to prepare liquor, a scooter and 20 litres of liquor was seized by the police in this connection.

Crime detection squad police SI Kumar Kamble, Bantwal town PSI Avinash Gowda, crime branch staff Basavaraj, Vivek and Kumar took part in the operation under guidance from Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj.
