Mangaluru: A picture of Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath seated in a corner near the wall, during a press meet might have seemed odd under normal circumstances.
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, experts have advised to maintain social distancing to control the spread of the virus. However we have come across instances where people are seen crowding and not heeding the social distancing advise, which is for their own betterment.
On Thursday, April 9 Vedavyas attended a press meet regarding launch of the BJP helpline number to assist during coronavirus lockdown. He was simply following the social distancing rules and thus was seated in the corner near the wall.
Notably he is not the only person to lead by example. It may be recalled that PM Modi took the lead by addressing a Cabinet meeting to discuss the Covid 19 situation while adopting social distancing measures.
The BJP MLA meanwhile in a Facebook post today said that in the first tranche around 10,000 Modi kits was being distributed among the needy in Mangaluru South constituency.
